One of our favourite Brit soul vocalists, Lemar, heads to London’s Jazz Cafe for two nights this month. The singer is scheduled to play the intimate venue on May 16th and 17th. Lemar came to our attention after coming third place on the talent series Fame Academy and has since enjoyed a 10 year career in the music industry, notching up seven top 10 singles and having sold over two million albums. Pretty impressive in today’s climate, right? When asked what audiences should expect at the gigs, Lemar told The Cocoa Diaries, “ Just expect a lot of energy. I did five nights at the Jazz Cafe a few years ago and it’s a really nice venue, it’s probably one of my favourite venues as it’s so intimate. I’m gonna be there with a full live band, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to do a good 60-90 minute stretch with my band, so that’s cool. We’ll be performing a lot of songs that people know, a few new ones and probably some covers. I really just wanna have fun with it and create a ‘jam like’ vibe where it’s all about the music.”
Tickets are priced from £25 and can be purchased here
