It’s been said time and time before, but the beauty of the internet is we no longer have to rely on the traditional gatekeepers to grant us the opportunity to produce content that represents the full spectrum of our lives. Enter Time of the Month, a new topical debate show where a panel of black women discuss various hot topics. The line up consists of media professionals Diane Kerr, Marianne Miles, Sheryl Nwosu and Lisa Bent. Every two week these dynamic women – who never shy away from giving their opinions – will dissect a variety of social and popular culture issues. The inaugural show saw a panel of three discussing whether it’s OK for a woman to propose to a man (the answer is yes), examining the stigma associated with women who have babies with multiple partners, and the dangers associated with online dating. At just under 20 minutes long I loved every minute. Visually, the quality of the production is quite slick, and in terms of the content, I found it quite refreshing that the ladies held very different opinions but were able to express them respectively and intelligently with a splice of humour thrown in for good measure. The show is produced by Sade Salami of Fresh Strawberry, the innovative creative management company. Check out the debut show below and do ensure you subscribe and share.
