March 2016 will mark the 20th anniversary of In Celebration of my Sisters, and to celebrate there will be two shows taking place next year, one in Luton (Auction House, March 4th) and one in London (Fairfield Halls, March 5th). The event, which celebrates International Women’s Month and Mother’s Day, has grown throughout the years and has now become an annual must-attend evening of entertainment that provides the perfect opportunity for mothers, daughters, sisters and friends to bond. Personally speaking, I’ve attended ICOMS on numerous occasions and have always left feeling inspired, invigorated and with a feeling of undeniable sisterhood.
To celebrate this special anniversary bestselling author Terry McMillan will be flying over from the US to take part in all the fun. Hosted once again by BBC Entertainment Correspondent Brenda Emmanus, special guests/entertainment also include Angie Le Mar, Yolanda Brown, The London Community Gospel Choir, Janet Kay, Carroll Thompson, Donna Spence, Felicity Ethnic, Floetic Lara (The Voice) and Jennifer Phillips (The X Factor). Tickets are priced from £19.50 – £35, stay tuned for more details closer to the time, and do ensure you are following The Cocoa Diaries on Facebook facebook.com/cocoadiaries to be in with a chance of winning tickets to the event.
